MK Food Bank celebrates new Corporate Partnership with Holiday Inn, Milton Keynes!
MK Food Bank is delighted to welcome our new corporate partners from Holiday Inn, Milton Keynes! After seeing our Ops Manager Louisa at MKBLP event reaching out to business leaders across the board, she appealed to the small but mighty group about wrapping their arms around their community, the head team Kevin and Nuala decided to take action and are generously going to help us with:
- Donating £500 per month for our fuel and e-fuel Delivery Vans
- Charity fundraising nights at their stunning Marco Pierre White Restaurant
- Volunteering groups from Holiday Inn to help with food distribution and fundraising
- Food education ideas*
- Food donations point within their reception area
*Most excitingly of all they are creating a MK Food Champ competition involving school children across Milton Keynes to create/design a dish made from food parcel ingredients, which will be judged by local dignitaries and Marco Pierre White!

What can you do as a business to help?
Our Big ask is that we need an additional £100,000 a year to help everyone who needs us. Here’s where your business can help MK Food Bank support your local community:
It costs over £600 a day to run the Food Bank, plus we need additional food support now donations are running low and to make sure we can sustain our food parcels to the people who need it most over the next important few months!
So, to help us cover this shortfall we are keen to expand our thriving network of business partners. There are so many ways that businesses like yours can help as well as promoting wellbeing within your employee network – like Kevin and team at Holiday Inn you can donate monies to support our Warehouse running costs, set up monthly Food donation points, Set up Payroll giving or fundraise with a MK Food Bank event/funday (we are just a click away on Just Giving and Local Giving!)
A partnership with MK Food Bank is a great way to support the local community whilst getting publicity/exposure for your business and promoting a much-needed service like ours we can thrive together.

The start of year has been a concern for the food bank team, with rising numbers of families and individuals needing our services, but with the generosity of local business leaders, charities, and groups we feel that the care is back in this city (still getting used to saying that!) and we can continue to wrap our arms around the community!
